The party led by outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti won the legislative elections held on December 28, as confirmed by electoral authorities on Saturday after a full recount of the votes. The Central Election Commission of Kosovo stated that Kurti's party 'Self-Determination', which adheres to a clear left-leaning social and nationalist orientation, received 51.1% of the votes after the final results were certified. Commission Chairman Kr Radoniqi said that Kurti's party ('Self-Determination') secured 51.1% of the votes, surpassing the Democratic Party of Kosovo, which received 20.19%, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 13.24%.
